FundingPips MT5 servers: FundingPips-SIM1 and FundingPips2-SIM (verified)
According to the FundingPips help center, Account Workspace (verified 4 October 2026), your dashboard shows your assigned server under Credentials, and it will be one of these two. When you search for FundingPips in MT5, two company entries appear:
| Your server | Company entry to select in MT5 | Note |
|---|---|---|
FundingPips-SIM1 | FundingPips Corp | After selecting the company, click the server field again and choose FundingPips-SIM1. |
FundingPips2-SIM | FundingPips Corp (2) | The only server under that entry. |
The same article lists FundingPips-Trial, FundingPips-Prime, FundingPips-SIM and FundingPips-SIM1 under FundingPips Corp. "SIM" stands for simulated: FundingPips provides simulated trading, so these are not live broker servers. Log in with the dashboard (master) password; investor credentials are view-only and cannot trade.
How to connect TradingView to FundingPips MT5
- Create your SignalForge account (14-day free trial, no card) and copy your webhook URL from the dashboard.
- Register your FundingPips account in the dashboard with your MT5 login and the exact server string from your dashboard Credentials (
FundingPips-SIM1orFundingPips2-SIM). - Install the SignalForge EA in that MT5 terminal, drag it onto one chart and switch Algo Trading on.
- Create the TradingView alert: paste the webhook URL and a JSON message that uses the exact symbol from your Market Watch (Ctrl+M):
{
"symbol": "EURUSD",
"action": "buy",
"lot": 0.1,
"sl": 30,
"tp": 60
}
sl and tp are distances in pips by default. Leave lot out to let the EA size the trade with the position size type set in your dashboard (fixed, risk or signal); in fixed-lot mode the EA ignores the alert's lot.
- Fire a test alert on a demo first and check the order in the Trade tab and the Experts log of MT5.
- Go live only when the demo order matches what you expected (symbol, lot, SL and TP).
On FundingPips, install the EA in an MT5 running on your own computer: VPN and VPS are not allowed (see the rules above).
FundingPips symbols: check the exact name in your MT5
| Usual MT5 name | Instrument |
|---|---|
EURUSD | Euro / US dollar |
XAUUSD | Gold |
US30 | Dow Jones |
BTCUSD | Bitcoin |
These are the usual names, not a promise: account types can add a suffix, so copy the symbol exactly as your Market Watch (Ctrl+M) shows it; if one is missing, right-click the list and choose Show All. The SignalForge EA resolves common suffixes on its own (.a .b .i .pro .raw .std .stp m pro #) and partial matches.
Common errors with FundingPips and TradingView alerts
These are generic MT5 problems that also appear on FundingPips accounts; each link goes to a step-by-step fix.
- FundingPips-SIM1 does not appear. It is hidden under the FundingPips Corp entry: select the company, then click the server field again and pick
FundingPips-SIM1. Picking FundingPips Corp (2) only works forFundingPips2-SIM. - Orders rejected on a connected account. You probably logged in with the investor (view-only) password. Log in again with the dashboard password.
- Wrong symbol name or suffix. The alert must name a symbol that exists in your terminal. Suffixes are resolved automatically; aliases on our server only cover GOLD to XAUUSD and SILVER to XAGUSD, so if your MT5 lists gold as
GOLD, ask support for a per-account alias. Fix: wrong symbol, lot size or account in MT5. - Different contract size on gold and indices. One lot of XAUUSD or of an index CFD is not the same exposure on every account. Check the contract size in the symbol specification (right-click the symbol, Specification) before you size by lot.
- Webhook received, but no trade. Usually Algo Trading is off, the EA is not on a chart, or the login registered in the dashboard is not the one logged in. Fix: TradingView webhook not executing in MT5.
- Error 4756 when sending the order. MT5 refused the trade request: invalid stops, volume or margin are the usual causes. Fix: MT5 error 4756.
- Nothing executes after a restart. If MT5 or the PC restarted, the terminal must be running again with the EA on a chart. See what happens when MT5 restarts.
FAQ
What is FundingPips-SIM1?
One of the two MT5 servers FundingPips assigns to accounts; the other is FundingPips2-SIM. Your dashboard shows which one is yours under Credentials. In MT5, FundingPips-SIM1 sits under the company entry FundingPips Corp (FundingPips help center, verified 4 October 2026).
How do I log in to FundingPips-SIM1 in MT5?
Search for FundingPips in the MT5 server list, select FundingPips Corp, click the server field again and choose FundingPips-SIM1. Then enter your trading account number and the dashboard password; the investor password is view-only.
Can I use a VPS or SFCloud with FundingPips?
No. FundingPips does not allow VPN/VPS while accessing your trading account (verified 4 October 2026). Run MT5 on your own computer; SFCloud is a hosted MT5, so it counts as a VPS for this rule.
Is the SignalForge EA allowed on FundingPips?
It is a grey zone. FundingPips permits third-party EAs only as a trade or risk manager; full automation is allowed with your own EA (with proof of ownership) and on the 1K Instant account, and all EAs are banned in the Monthly Competition (verified 4 October 2026). Ask FundingPips support for written confirmation before you trade live.
Does Prop Firm Shield work on FundingPips?
Prop Firm Shield (Trader plan and above) closes your positions when the daily loss you set ($ or %) or your profit target is hit, and re-arms at 00:00 broker time. It does not cancel pending orders and does not enforce a maximum total drawdown, so keep the prop firm's own limits in mind.
