Before your first automated trade on FundedNext, size it properly: the lot size calculator for MT5 includes prop-firm presets with daily loss checks.

Does SignalForge work with FundedNext?

Yes, on MT5 (MT4 is not supported). Your alert fires on TradingView, the webhook reaches SignalForge and the SignalForge EA opens the order inside your own FundedNext MT5 terminal. Median time from webhook to confirmed order was about 0.5 s in our measurements of 19-23 September 2026. No API keys and no change of broker. On FundedNext that means MT5 accounts below $50,000 only (see the rules above).

What you need before starting

  • A FundedNext MT5 account: login, password and server (see the server section below)
  • A FundedNext account below $50,000 on MT5 (EAs are not allowed from $50,000 or on cTrader/Match-Trader)
  • A TradingView plan with webhook alerts (paid plan)
  • A SignalForge account: 14-day free trial, no card. After the trial, Starter is $4.99/mo for 1 account and Trader $14.99/mo for 3 accounts

Step-by-step setup

  1. Create your SignalForge account and copy your webhook URL from the dashboard.
  2. Log in to FundedNext in MT5 (File, Login to Trade Account) with the login, password and server from the FundedNext credentials email or your FundedNext Account Dashboard.
  3. Register the same login and server in SignalForge, written exactly as MT5 shows it, spaces and numbers included.
  4. Install the SignalForge EA, drag it onto any chart and switch Algo Trading on.
  5. Create the TradingView alert with your webhook URL and a JSON message like this one, using the symbol name from your Market Watch:
{
  "action": "buy",
  "symbol": "EURUSD",
  "lot": 0.01
}
  1. Fire a test alert on a demo account and confirm the order appears in MT5 before you go live.

FundedNext MT5 servers: FundedNext-Server, Server 2 and Server 3 (verified 4 October 2026)

FundedNext's help center (How do I log in to the MT5 Platform (PC)?, checked 4 October 2026) names three MT5 servers:

ServerUsed for
FundedNext-ServerPaid account plans
FundedNext-Server 2Paid account plans
FundedNext-Server 3Free Monthly Competition and Free Trial accounts

If you searched for "fundednext-server2": that is FundedNext-Server 2, one of the two servers for paid account plans. Which one your account uses is in the email with your login credentials and in your FundedNext Account Dashboard. In MT5, File, Login to Trade Account, then pick that server. Register it in SignalForge exactly as MT5 shows it (the help center writes it with a space: FundedNext-Server 2).

Symbol names on FundedNext

Copy symbols exactly as your Market Watch shows them (Ctrl+M; right-click and Show All if one is missing). Forex and gold usually match TradingView (EURUSD, XAUUSD), but suffixes depend on the account type and index names vary the most between brokers. Check your own list instead of copying a name from another account.

Common errors with FundedNext (and how to fix them)

These are generic MT5 problems that also apply to FundedNext accounts; each one links to the full fix.

  • Symbol not found or wrong instrument. FundedNext may name a symbol differently from TradingView (a suffix such as .a, .pro or m, or another index name). The SignalForge EA resolves common suffixes by itself (.a .b .i .pro .raw .std .stp m pro # and partial matches) and maps GOLD to XAUUSD and SILVER to XAGUSD. If your broker calls gold GOLD while the alert sends XAUUSD, ask our support for a per-account alias. Checklist: wrong symbol, lot size or account in MT5.
  • Same lot, different exposure on gold and indices. Contract sizes for XAUUSD and index CFDs differ between brokers and account types, so 1.00 lot is not the same risk everywhere. Check the contract size in Market Watch (right-click the symbol, Specification) before going live. In fixed-lot mode the EA ignores the lot sent in the alert.
  • The alert fired but no trade opened. Usually Algo Trading is off, the EA is not attached to a chart, or the login and server registered in SignalForge do not match the terminal. Step by step: TradingView webhook not executing in MT5.
  • "No connection" or "Invalid account" in MT5. The login is going to the wrong server, or the demo account has expired. Log in again with the exact server from the FundedNext credentials email or your FundedNext Account Dashboard; an expired demo needs a new demo account. What happens to alerts while MT5 is offline: MT5 restart: open trades and alerts.
  • Error 4756 in the Journal. The trade request could not be sent: invalid stops, a volume outside the symbol limits or not enough margin. Diagnosis: MT5 error 4756.

FAQ

  1. Which server do I select in MT5 for FundedNext? The one in your credentials email or Account Dashboard. According to FundedNext, FundedNext-Server and FundedNext-Server 2 are for paid account plans and FundedNext-Server 3 is for Free Monthly Competition and Free Trial accounts (verified 4 October 2026).
  2. Can I use SignalForge on a $100k FundedNext account? No. FundedNext requires manual trading on accounts of $50,000 and above, and does not allow EAs on cTrader or Match-Trader (verified 4 October 2026). SignalForge is an EA, so it only fits MT5 accounts below $50,000.
  3. Does it work on a FundedNext Free Trial account? Free Trial accounts run on FundedNext-Server 3. The setup is the same: register that login and server exactly as MT5 shows them.
  4. Does SignalForge enforce the prop firm loss limits? Partly. Prop Firm Shield (Trader plan and above) enforces a daily loss limit in $ or % and a profit target: it closes positions (it does not cancel pending orders) and re-arms at 00:00 broker time. It does not enforce a maximum total drawdown, so keep an eye on that one yourself.
  5. Do I need a VPS? No. The EA runs in your own MT5 terminal, so the computer must stay on while you trade. If you prefer not to leave it on, SFCloud runs it for you in a hosted MT5 (UK and France): $9.99/mo with the Starter bridge (Starter + SFCloud). Standalone SFCloud ($6.99/mo) is an always-on MT5 in the cloud for manual trading; it does not include the bridge, so it does not execute TradingView alerts. SFCloud does not run MQL5 Market EAs.
  6. How much does it cost? Starter $4.99/mo (1 account) and Trader $14.99/mo (3 accounts, Prop Firm Shield and filters). Both start with a 14-day free trial without a card.
