Chocoping vs SFCloud: budget forex VPS or hosted MT5?
Chocoping sells some of the cheapest forex VPS around, in London, New York and Amsterdam. SFCloud is ours, and it is not a VPS: it is MetaTrader 5 hosted for you, built for the TradingView bridge. Here is what each one costs (checked on September 23, 2026), where Chocoping genuinely wins, and which one your setup needs.
Two products, two different jobs.
ONE RENTS YOU A WINDOWS SERVER. THE OTHER RUNS MT5 FOR YOU.
Chocoping — the budget forex VPS
Chocoping rents Windows forex VPS in London, New York and Amsterdam, with isolated resources and RAID10 storage. Its classic plans run $12.99/mo (1 GB RAM), $14.99/mo (2 GB) and $22.99/mo (3 GB), with savings on yearly billing; a newer Cheapy range is advertised as low as $7.87/mo (1 GB, 1 core) up to $13.12 (4 GB, 3 cores), and a Solid range goes from $14.87 (8 GB) to $37.62 (24 GB). You connect over Remote Desktop and install MetaTrader, your EAs and any bridge yourself. We found no free trial advertised, and its terms say discounted products are non-refundable (chocoping.com, checked 2026-09-23).
SFCloud — MT5 hosted for you, built for the bridge
SFCloud is a managed MetaTrader 5 in the cloud: we look after the machine, MT5 comes pre-installed (with the SignalForge EA attached on the bridge bundles), and you open your terminal from a desktop browser over HTTPS, with no Remote Desktop client; on a phone or tablet it works for quick checks. Your TradingView alerts reach it through the SignalForge bridge. The bundles cost $9.99/mo for Starter + SFCloud (bridge + one hosted MT5 terminal) or $19.99/mo for Trader + SFCloud (three terminals); SFCloud on its own is $6.99/mo for one terminal for manual trading, without the bridge. Month-to-month, cancel anytime, data centres in the United Kingdom and France.
THE NUMBERS
Side by side (checked September 23, 2026).
Chocoping figures from chocoping.com, its new-plans page and its terms, read on 2026-09-23; they cover the machine only, with no TradingView bridge. SignalForge prices from our pricing page. Check before you buy. More VPS comparisons: FXVM vs SFCloud and MQL5 VPS vs SFCloud.
FAIRNESS FIRST
Where Chocoping genuinely wins.
- Machines advertised from $7.87/mo, and sizes up to 24 GB RAM and 8 cores
- Any trading platform you can install on Windows, not only MetaTrader 5
- SFCloud runs MetaTrader 5 only
- A Windows server with isolated resources that is yours to set up
- Pick London, New York or Amsterdam to sit close to your broker
- Room for several terminals and your own tools
If you run several EAs, other platforms or your own tools and you are happy administering Windows, a budget VPS like Chocoping is the right tool.
THE OTHER SIDE
Where SFCloud wins.
TradingView is built in. Most traders who look for a VPS want their TradingView alerts executing on MT5 while their computer is off. A VPS only keeps the terminal alive; you still need a bridge on top. The SFCloud bundles come with MT5 and the SignalForge bridge already wired together.
Zero admin. No Windows Server to set up, no Remote Desktop client, no updates to babysit: MT5 is pre-installed and we look after the machine and the terminal.
The price includes the bridge. $9.99/mo buys the bridge and a hosted terminal. On a Chocoping VPS you pay for the machine and then add a bridge ($4.99/mo for SignalForge Starter).
Just a browser. Your terminal opens in a desktop browser tab over HTTPS, even on a Mac or a work laptop where you cannot install anything; on a phone or tablet it works for quick checks.
The honest limits: SFCloud is MetaTrader 5 only, does not run EAs from the MQL5 Market today, runs only in our data centres in the United Kingdom and France (no New York or Amsterdam option), and is built for TradingView-to-MT5 automation, not as a general Windows desktop. If that is not your setup, the VPS wins.
THE THIRD OPTION
Already on Chocoping? Keep it.
If you already rent a Chocoping VPS and you are happy with it, you do not need to move anything. Install the SignalForge EA in the MT5 on your VPS, paste your SignalForge webhook URL into your TradingView alert, and your alerts execute on that server. The Starter plan is $4.99/mo with a 14-day free trial and no card, and the TradingView to MT5 setup guide walks you through it step by step.
Verdict by trader type.
DECISION IN ONE LINE EACH
Alert-driven strategies are rarely latency-sensitive: a few hundred milliseconds changes nothing on a swing trade or a TradingView signal. What breaks them is the terminal being off. Buy for uptime and simplicity first. Current SFCloud numbers live on the pricing page.

Skip the VPS. Run MT5 with the bridge built in.
SFCloud is your managed MetaTrader 5, bundled with the SignalForge bridge: pre-installed, open in a desktop browser, executing your TradingView alerts while your PC is off. From $9.99/mo with the bridge, cancel anytime.
